Technology Partners at DISTRIBUTECH: Delivering Value through Grid Edge Solutions

March 20, 2025

Itron and our technology partners continue to drive innovation in the utility industry, delivering solutions that modernize and strengthen critical infrastructure. As Grid Edge Intelligence takes center stage at this year’s DISTRIBUTECH, Itron and our partners will highlight a suite of solutions designed to strengthen grid resilience, optimize operations and improve consumer engagement. Here is a closer look at the innovations that will be in the spotlight in Itron booth #3008.

Driving Innovation, Together

At the Partner Ecosystem station, attendees will discover the benefits of partnering with Itron. We will spotlight our Distributed Intelligence Developer Program, which delivers real-time visibility and control for more efficient grid management. Through strategic collaborations with industry leaders like Bidgely and Net2Grid, our DI Developer Program enables seamless software integration that amplifies Itron’s product value and addresses key customer challenges. These partnerships drive innovation and deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of utilities.

Collaborating to Deliver Dynamic DER Management

As electric vehicle (EV) adoption accelerates, utilities must evolve to meet the growing needs of their customers. Itron collaborates with a variety of partners including The Mobility House to deliver our newly launched solution, IntelliFLEX. Leveraging Itron’s Grid Edge Intelligence software, IntelliFLEX facilitates real-time visibility, control and optimization of behind-the-meter distributed energy resources such as EVs and solar. Attendees will experience the first IntelliFLEX demonstration at this year’s event.

Intelligence at the Edge: Smarter Insights, Stronger Grids

Itron's Grid Edge Intelligence portfolio demonstrates the growing significance of this evolving aspect of utility infrastructure. By seamlessly integrating GE Vernova’s GridOS data with Itron’s Grid Edge Intelligence solutions, customers gain streamlined access to critical advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) data—enhancing grid efficiency and decision-making. DISTRIBUTECH attendees are invited to explore this collaboration firsthand during an engaging session on March 26 at 11:30 a.m. in the GE Vernova Theater, where leaders from both companies will discuss how next-generation AMI and low-voltage data enable smarter grid orchestration.

Xcel Energy, Schneider Electric and Itron: Maximizing VPP Impact

Don’t miss the chance to gain valuable insights into Xcel Energy’s recent Virtual Power Plant (VPP) launch in Colorado. The session will feature industry leaders Zach Pollack, director of grid strategy & emerging technology, Xcel Energy; Angus McPherson, global solution architect of power & grid, Schneider Electric; Nick Tumilowicz, director of distributed energy management, Itron; Jennifer Gallegos, senior partner management consultant, Itron, who will discuss the project scope, key updates and the challenges and opportunities ahead. Be sure to attend on March 26, 11:00 a.m. in room C140 for this insightful discussion.
