Helping Utilities Reduce Environmental Impact 

 In 2025, Itron’s solutions helped customers avoid at least 8.7 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions. This was made possible by helping utilities:   

• Balance supply and demand through demand response 
• Improve system awareness with distributed intelligence 
• Enable more informed decisions through customer engagement 
• Manage energy and water resources more efficiently 

Advancing Carbon Reduction Goals 

Alongside customer impact, we continued to reduce our own emissions. Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions declined by 11% year over year, contributing to a 56% reduction from our 2019 baseline. These reductions support Itron’s commitments to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035 and net-zero emissions by 2050.  

Operating with Trust and Accountability 

Progress in sustainability is built on trust and consistency, which is why Itron continues to expand its governance and ethics programs. In 2025, this included: 

• Recognition as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere 
• Introduction of a formal Anti-Money Laundering Policy 
• 100% companywide completion of Code of Conduct training 

These actions help ensure that outcomes are backed by clear standards, transparency and ethical practices. 

Supporting People and Communities 

Sustainability also shows up in how organizations support their people and the communities in which they operate. For Itron, that included: 

• Achieving ISO 45001 certification at Itron’s Mâcon, France facility 
• Reaching multi-year zero-recordable-incident milestones at several manufacturing sites 
• Contributing more than $500,000, alongside employees, to over 440 organizations globally 

Collectively, these efforts reinforce a continued focus on safety, employee engagement and community impact across Itron’s global operations.
