Itron Rings Closing Bell at Nasdaq

July 15, 2019

On June 26, Philip Mezey, Itron president and CEO, and members of Itron’s leadership team joined Nasdaq in Times Square for a ceremonial ringing of the closing bell in celebration of Itron’s 26-year Nasdaq listing anniversary.

During this event, the team counted down to the closing bell and Philip Mezey signed his name, officially closing the Nasdaq market for the day at 4 p.m. EDT. The ceremony was broadcast on the four major financial news networks. Joining Itron for the event was Chris Dearborn, managing director of the market intelligence desk for Nasdaq as well as Joe Brantuk, vice president of new listings and IPOs.

This event was in conjunction with Itron Investor Day—hosted at the Nasdaq MarketSite on June 27— where we provided a deep dive for investors, analysts and media on our strategy, market outlook, new business segments and technology roadmap.

The team was honored and excited to participate in this iconic ceremony on one of the world’s largest stock exchanges.
